A Huge Wind Storm approaches from the North West.  It's counter clockwise motion has wind blowing up from our South East.

A steady wind has been blowing for some time now and is increasing in speed and intensity.  Gusts as much as 25 MPH here, but on the neighboring islands the gusts have been as much as 50 MPH.

A satellite view shows the storm originally formed off the Aleutian Islands and rapidly swept a huge cold front towards Hawai'i.  This is part of the Hawaiian Winter Season.

A part of the Hawaiian winter season, the temperatures can dip very low.

When the temperatures dip into the low 60's, it feels cold!  I took this screen shot at the end of November.

To give you an idea of the fast moving clouds.

The wind from the South West pushes VOG our way.  The air smells sulfurous and looks a smoky haze.

The winds can be dangerous.
News reports trees down and some roof damage to homes.

The full force of the storm has not reached the Big Island yet.  It's expected sometime tonight.  We're prepared for any emergency.  However, it the unknown that makes the situation stressful.

Even the wild piggies are looking for shelter.

Reports around the state talk about damage caused by the storm.
