Meli and Koa!  Meli in the purple collar, a female, and Koa, a male are from the same litter.  The Humane Society told us they were Shepherd Heeler mix, I suspect  they are something else,  but whatever, they're PUPPIES!  They are about 6 months old.  We just got them (Feb '06) and boy, do they look scared.

We decided to get both because in our experience, puppies growing up together become easier to train and don't get lonely.  Like the Doberman Pincher don the road that cries and howls when it's owner leaves in the morning.  I feel sad for the dog as he continues to cry off and on all day long, but I did not what that to happen to our doggies when we leave for shopping or whatever.  Together, they can comfort each other when left alone.
